The Key Method

Unique facts about The Key Method
The Key method is one of the most up-to-date, hustle-free and uniquely attainable systems of stress relief and prevention. It is also a most effective way of self-development, allowing each person to form otherwise unattainable desirable qualities, such as willpower, creativity or advanced business and professional skills, thus leading to a natural and healthy life-style.
The Key Method is based on the self-regulated idiomotor movement that releases stress automatically. It allows you to promptly achieve a state whereby psychological and physiological processes in your body become coordinated. Thus, a person reaches a trance like condition known as free consciousness, described by various cultures as nirvana, meditation, prayer ecstasy, or autogenic immersion.
This technology enables a person to achieve the state of deep relaxation and reestablish harmony of body/mind connection without any special preparation, intrusive external influences such as hypnosis, or biofeedback appliances.
At present, the method is applied successfully in various emergency situations, including urgent psychological rehabilitation of victims of terror, hostages, or when training paratroopers for special assignments.
Using this method you can eliminate stress in 5-20 minutes without much effort, or need for outside help or medicine.
As a result of The Key Method a body relieves itself of mental rigidity and muscle tension, leading to the release of the emotional potential and readiness to attain what has always been seen or perceived as unattainable goals.
The Key method quickly frees the consciousness from a vast array of immediate impressions, thus creating conditions where a person’s subconscious mind can choose and focus on the most important task without any visible effort on the person’s part. None of us know consciously exactly what this task is - it can be identified and determined only by our unconscious mind. Your conscious mind is then relieved of any fears, complexes or insecurities that usually limit your freedom of creative choice, as well as decision-making in vitally important situations. Your body activates development state and release of endorphins, allowing your self-confidence to soar high. Yet you need no specific conditions to trigger this mechanism.
If you practice The Key method systematically, you will quickly find yourself no longer at odds with the outside world. You will react differently, in a much more relaxed and reasonable way to the same events and situations that have always caused you to be stressed out. Although your life will not be rid of psychologically stressful issues, you will no longer react to them in a way that leads to stress, agitation or fatigue. In practical terms, you will often find that you will be able to easily establish communication with people with whom you were in conflict before, and be much more successful in conducting negotiations or building personal relationships.

The Key gives you access to the deep reserves of self-regulation and self-healing. Both your body and nervous system experience health and all the potential to restore it in case of need, as well as maintain it beyond recovery from a particular illness. The Key allows your body to activate this potential through helping it function in a regime that you can regulate both on psychological and physical levels, managing much deeper processes of the organism. Consequently, you are able to expedite the process of treatment of any illness, especially those caused by stress, or are prolonged and frequently stress-related: loss of sex drive, anxiety, panic attacks, eczema, headache, phobias, insomnia, high blood pressure, tiredness, restlessness, worrying, irritability, fears....
However, The Key method can be widely used for purposes that go above and beyond stress prevention and relief, such as widening the horizons of a creative potential, accomplishing previously unattainable goals, outdoing oneself in many ways and in many fields within a limited time period, and under the circumstances where many other techniques have failed. Having mastered the hidden possibilities of the body, normally triggered into action only in the most extraordinary conditions, each person can expand his or her creative potential, and find many new avenues of its use.

In the state of self-regulation, achieved by the KEY method, your mind starts acting as your personal computer, capable of resolving any problem. But it is necessary to consciously recall a desirable result, state of mind and/or sensation you have experienced in the past. Your “personal computer” keeps the memory of all the events that have happened in your life - all your feelings, emotions and accumulated information. If you recall the particular details of emotional condition you want to come back to, and the state of your body when you were healthy, your “personal computer” starts to calculate and determine where and why the failure happened, and what repairs should be done. The body then chooses the only correct method of resolving the problem on its own accord, following its own rules and laws.

There have been cases where a person was drunk and fell from several floors above, yet remained alive and was not critically hurt. The situation was completely out of this person’s control. In this case, it meant the person did not interfere with the body’s natural ability of self- preservation, allowing it to land safely, and with minimal injuries.
Our body's natural mechanism of self-preservation turns out to be much wiser than any ideas of ours as to how we should cope with this or that task. In the process of self-regulation, you should trust your body and not interfere with the process of natural recovery.
At night, when you are asleep, your body is relaxed, but your brain keeps working. All the information collected in the daytime is being processed during your sleeping hours. Often the greatest discoveries were made while their authors were asleep. Your brain, as your personal computer, keeps working on an assignment received during the day.
Eventually, it finds the only correct solution to the given problem. Similarly, your body in a state of self- regulation is capable of resolving most difficult of problems, or finding a way of self-healing. Relaxation achieved in a state of self-regulation can be deeper than that experienced in your sleep, inducing feelings of peace, even weightlessness. All the spontaneous movements of the body preceding immersion in self-regulation state are performed without any physical effort on your part.

Since time immemorial, humans have struggled to learn how to reach a balance between stress and relaxation. Chinese gymnastics Tsi-Hun, and Indian yoga help to reach this balance by means of a large number of exercises. The feeling of ultimate relaxation and a sense of internal lightness, suspension of thought and freedom from unwanted thoughts could also be achieved through meditation, autogenic training, various methods of relaxation, hypnosis and self-hypnosis.
But all of the existing techniques share a common problem: they require a lot of time and dedication verging on self-denial to achieve the goals they set. These days, when we live in a world where rush and stress have become an inevitable part of our mundane reality, we all need a method to achieve the desired goal. Such an innovative and truly revolutionary method of self-regulation has been suggested by Dr. Hasai Aliev, a renowned Russian psychiatrist, psychologist, doctor of medicine and philosopher. His stress relieving and preventive technique is simple, easily attainable and comprehensive.
Dr. Hasai Aliev has called his new method of stress relief and prevention THE KEY. It is applied for practical treatment of patients at Russia’s Stress Relief and Prevention Center, created by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Emergency of Russia.
THE KEY method was first conceived in 1981, and practiced in the Center for Training of Astronauts named after Yuri Gagarin. It was designed for preparing pilots for space flights, and reducing the shock of such conditions as weightlessness, stress at the time of the take off, flight, landing, and emergency situations in space. At present, the technique is applied successfully in various emergency situations, including urgent psychological rehabilitation of victims of terror, hostages, or when training paratroopers for special assignments.
While working on the problem of stress prevention and relief, Dr. Hasai Aliev noticed a simple natural law of human behavior: our need for a repetitive movement when under stress. When a person is nervous, he or she typically engages in a simple yet repetitive action, like pacing the room, drumming fingers on the table, swinging a leg, or rocking the body, as if “lulling” oneself to calmness. The higher the stress, the more frequent and persistent the movement is. Such repetitive “nervous” movements or swinging are, in fact, subconscious attempts of a body and mind to find a balance between stress and relaxation. This observation became the foundation of the new technique.
The Key Method is a self-regulated idiomotor movement that releases stress automatically. The Key Method allows you to promptly achieve a state, whereby psychic and physiological processes in your body become coordinated. Thus, a person reaches a condition known as free consciousness, described by various cultures as nirvana, meditation, prayer ecstasy, or autogenic immersion.
This technology enables a person to achieve the state of deep relaxation and reestablish harmony of body/mind connection without any special preparation, intrusive external influences such as hypnosis, or biofeedback appliances.
Some examples from our practice:
A 53 year old builder from Detroit was lifting heavy weights and bending forward on a bridge. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in the lower back. He couldn’t straighten his back. In order to relieve the pain, he entered into the state of self- regulation and imagined himself relaxed lying on his back on the water. The pain eased, his body not only became straight, but he was able to bend fully backward until his hands touched the floor. Who could have ever imagined how to solve the problem this way with the conscious mind? The body by itself found the way out of the situation easily and quickly. The treatment took only 15 minutes.
A television hostess in New York was always before the public. She had a high sense of responsibility, and as a result she had acquired a muscle spasm of the back and constant pain in the lower back. It was difficult for her to bend forward. In the state of self-regulation her movements were smooth at first, then they became more rhythmical like those during warm up exercises. Then she lay down on her back on the floor. The movements of her body at that juncture were completely unexpected. Her body started forming an angle, her hands holding on to her feet up in the air. She kept repeating -- “It’s incredible! But I can’t do that, how am I doing this?” If somebody had instructed her to relieve the pain in this way she wouldn’t have been able to assume that position. The treatment lasted only 20 minutes in the state of self-regulation.
A young woman in New York consulted with us regarding her infertility. She told us that several years before she had been in an auto accident, and had suffered cranial-cerebral injury as a result, with multiple dysfunctions in the spine, and phobias. This in turn led to the problems of hormonal deficiency which were the cause of her infertility. The “intuitive exercise” she performed in the state of self-regulation resembled a chiropractic treatment. At the beginning the smooth, gentle movements turned into sudden, sharp turnings of her body. After that she lay on the floor on her back. The movements that followed looked like vertebrae adjustments -- small, sharp turning of the spine to the left and right, then sudden sagging followed by a rounded back. She was amused by the appearance of these movements! She said, “My movements must look like a strange supine dance!” Acrophobia (fear of heights) disappeared after the first exercise. During this exercise she experienced the feeling of free flight. In this case the “KEY” was not the only treatment modality used. Following our suggested individual rehabilitation program resulted in the recovery of her body’s functions. One year later, without taking medications and hormonal remedies, she gave birth to a baby girl.
Eveline, age 28, consulted with our clinic for depression. She was suffering from headaches, dizziness, stomach ache, claustrophobia (fear of closed spaces). Her blood pressure would fall as low as 80/50. She was afraid of moving independently, and had to be escorted by her grandmother. After the preliminary examination in our clinic she procrastinated with the treatment, unable to make up her mind whether it was worth the expense, since she had been previously treated, with no degree of success, by several specialists – a physician, an internal diseases specialist, and a psychiatrist. However, several months down the road, she returned to our office. By that time, her condition had deteriorated to such a degree, that her legs were completely out of her control and stopped responding to her mind. Leaving for a walk with her grandmother, she suddenly discovered, that she could not take a single step forward!
Eveline had graduated from a computer school. Even before graduation, she had heard a lot on how difficult it had become to find a job in the computer programming field. That idea had become deeply entrenched in her mind. Because of fear of failure, she never attempted to send out a resume, or seek employment in any other way. As soon as she would leave her home and feel a bus or a streetcar door closing behind her, she would feel afraid of being in a closed space. That was her excuse not to go for a job interview. What immediately followed was dizziness, weakness, loss of consciousness and malfunction of the gastrointestinal system. In time, Eveline found herself so deeply immersed in depression, that she became virtually disabled.
Eveline told us later that she was capable of literally running home by herself after the first KEY training session. She felt her body was agile and obedient, and her feet barely touched the ground. An all that was achieved after a 10 minute light body swinging exercise resulting in first two independently made steps.
Several days later she came to continue with training to strengthen the results she had achieved. One week later, she sent out her resume. The result was beyond any expectations. New Evelina, self-confident and relaxed, landed herself an $80K job at the first interview she attended. After starting to work, she visited our office several more times for consultations on an individually designed rehabilitation program aim at stabilizing the achieved results.
