Quick Tips On How To Give Feedback
Posted on November 26th, 2013
Do not give people feedback on their personality traits.
Be specific, concrete, and nonjudgmental.
Ask permission before giving feedback. Sometimes feedback about touchy subjects is accepted more easily if it is offered tentatively.
Give only one or two pieces of feedback at a time.
Give feedback that also emphasizes the person’s strengths, not just his or her weaknesses.
Use a checking question to determine whether feedback was received and how it was accepted.
